You play as Sullivan, a famous, and now retired bounty hunter, known for moon walking while fighting, defying laws of physics with fancy jump moves and air slides, and never backing down from an adversary. Our story begins when you are on your way to get a hamburger from a hip, local space pub, with your beloved cat, Claude Arthur Thatchmoore (C.A.T. for short). You are enjoying retirement, when something unthinkable happens. Henchmen of the feared and powerful cyborg bat pirates steal C.A.T. in an attempt to please their leader, who is fond of collecting all things cute and furry. Thanks for checking it out, and giving the Indie Game Buzz article a read!

Downloaded the demo to try it out and it was awesome! Even though it is a very simple game, I ended up dying a lot. The graphics and music make the game very satisfying to play! Since my computer sucks, I'd also like to say that I am very glad to play this game without any lag! Thanks so much! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for making the video! You were killing it with those air slides! Glad to hear your experience was lag free, one of our intentions was to make a game that would run on just about any computer.

Love your art, sound and level design, i just have one problem though: the health packs.

Now, in about 40 minutes of play, I've only encountered 2. And I'm not sure if you find that a problem or not, It just made me a little frustrated when i died because i couldn't heal myself. Now of course other games don't have healing items, but they make they're levels shorter. If you want to keep it as rare as it is, id suggest giving it more heal, about 3 hearts.

Another thing that I, personally, would like is directional grenade shots.

This is just my opinion. Love your game, keep up the good work

Thanks for the comments! Sounds like we need to adjust our code, as the health packs should be dropping from enemies more frequently. They should also have a higher chance of dropping, instead of a gun, the lower the player's health is.

They aren't in the demo, but we have "health recharge stations" that fill the players entire health and shield. They will be found at half way points in the level and will be impossible to miss based on the level design.

Noted on the grenades! We've got a few versions we're playing around with. The current ones mimic that of the Metal Slug grenades.

Sweet visuals and a high amount of enemies. That cat better be worth it. :)

Hey Cryptic Hybrid, thanks so much for making a youtube post about our game! We really appreciate the feedback, and the time it took you to make the video. If you play again, keep in mind you can use the melee and slide actions to your advantage! Melee is a one hit kill, and sliding can let you pass underneath enemy bullets, and it can also extend your jumping distance by air sliding after a double jump. (Because the demo skips the tutorial part of the game, these actions aren't as evident to the player)

The John Wick reference is perfect by the way, as we considered that plot while making the story line for The Adventures of Sullivan.

Hi. You know, while playtesting I did experiment with sliding, but I got to eat quite a few bullets so I thought it was safe to keep my distance. :)

Love the ambiance/music. Really cool looking grqphics, good controls feeling.

The screen can get a bit too  shaky when in action.

Really cool project ! Keep it up !

Thanks Lambda! Noted on the shakiness, we haven't touched that in a while so it might be worth revisiting.
